Fairway Hotel has the magic touch!

Yes, made popular by the Brazilian football team which made it their base camp during the historical 2010 FIFA World Cup in SA, Fairway Hotel does has the magical touch.

Brazilians can vouch for that…

Perfectly perched in the leafy and subtle suburbs of Randpark Ridge, a stone throw-away from Cresta Mall, this is the place where tranquility is on mute!

Fully furnished with 62 hotel rooms and 14 double story Golf Villas, each with four en-suite rooms, the hotel exudes fun, work and hospitality all under one roof.

According to our hosts Francois Joubert, Sales Manager at the hotel and Stefanie Pietzsch- marketing department- this is what sets apart the hotel from the rest.

“We’re class, stylish, environmentally friendly and of course, fun,” states Joubert, who was dragged out of meeting for this interview.

He continued:”We give our guests not (clients) first class service and it has worked magically for us.

That in itself makes us unique. Look at both our indoor and outdoor features they say a lot about us as a brand. That is uniquessness.”

The hotel has since its inception in 2010, won several awards: Winner of the World Travel Awards 2010-Best New Hotel Indian Ocean and Africa, April 2014 received the DQS GC Mark Certificate for Excellent Business Hotels, first in South Africa and Africa, and the service excellence certificate from Tripadvisor, showing high guest satisfaction, amongst others.

“And despite all those accolades we still strive to do more. Our belief is if a guest is happy we pat ourselves on our shoulders to go beyond that,” says Pietzsch, who is German-born but SA based due to her undying love for our country and tapestry.

She has been with the hotel for nine months.

Fairway Hotel has also added the stylish and must-see or visit Sky Dining-we missed that due to other pressing matters- to conscientious those with big appetite.

This is what’s offered at the 8, 200m² hotel, a multi-volume foyer and private internal pool courtyard, a conference centre, boardrooms, breakaway rooms, lounge and deck with stunning views.

Brides can look forward to a magnificent modern stone clad chapel and the Windsor Ballroom for hosting their function. Bar Verve is renowned for after work cocktails which may well extend into unparalleled late night fine dining in Balata Restaurant and Spa treatment.

Activations do happen but Joubert emphasized, this will improve to allow guests and day visitors more time and fun during Spring.

This will help us market the hotel aggressively, which in the past was an oversight”, he says.

“Just imagine how will these look like as the sun-sets from our Bar; and after the completion of our Golf Course?” he asked boastingly.

However, bad news for Golf aficionadas: the out of sort Golf Course will only be ready next year either in January or February! Ouch…

On the CSI programmes; the hotel is hard at work distributing blankets to needy organizations this winter using ambassadors such as Miss SA- Linda Bam and others to reach the less unfortunate.

The Fairway Hotel & Spa is a member of the Guvon Hotels & Spas portfolio.
