8*ta supports initiative to build community centre in Bedfordview

The concert will take place on Saturday 15 October 2011 and the money raised will go towards building a community centre at Bishop Baven School in Bedfordview. . “We will also be screening the semi-final World Cup Rugby Match and we will have a “Kids Zone”, said Samantha Pringle, event’s coordinator.

The centre will be opened to other communities outside Bedfordview, like Orange Farm and Primrose Informal Settlement.

Telkom Mobile’s Managing Executive Amith Maharaj said 8*ta decided to support the initiative as it fits well with their quest to identify projects that afford them the opportunity to make a real difference in communities.

Tickets will be selling for R150 an adult and R80 for children between the ages of four and 12 years old at Computicket.

Children under the age of three will be admitted for free. Gates opens at 09h30.
