PSL has confirmed that the winner will once again pocket a cool R8-million, with positions 2-8 each netting R800 000 for a grand total of R13.6-million, when the MTN8 campaigns kicks-off.
According to Desiree Pooe, sponsorship and events manager at MTN, they will also add more millions for the fans.
“Our fans play an integral role in taking the event to higher greats and its only considerate we continue to inspire them through activations such as music at stadiums, etc.
This would encourage them to come with friends and families in large numbers to win and witness the best of soccer at our disposal.”
The competition kicks off tonight when Bidvest Wits host SuperSport United (Bidvest Satdium) and Ajax Cape Town travel to Orlando Pirates for the quarterfinals at Orlando Stadium).
Mamelodi Sundowns face Bloemfontein Celtic tomorrow (Lucas Moripe Stadium), at the same time as Kaizer Chiefs vs Maritzburg United (FNB Stadium).
The PSL has confirmed that tickets for the quarter-final fixtures are now available at Computicket and Shoprite stores countrywide.
They are selling at R80 (West stand only) and R40 (rest of stadium).
