Hlomane Patrick Chauke has been appointed board chairperson at the North West Tourism Board.
He confirmed the news during a meeting in Rustenburg recently. Although no official statement has been released, Chauke who is the head of SCOPA in NW- was ecstatic at breaking the news.
“I’ve been appointed as the new chairperson at the North West Tourism and look forward to the challenge,” says former MEC for Sport & Culture.
According to reliable sources, the tourism board was dismantled last year to make inroads for new members.
Currently, the agency has an acting CE since the non-renewal contract of Allan Losaba last year.
