Samsung 'S' heritage continues to herald new beginnings unabatedly!

One must admit, when this Korean Electronics company does a launch expect the unexpected, because this new sleek and innovative smartphone has it all, stru!

It seems the Samsung ‘S’ heritage continues to herald new beginnings unabatedly…

Ever thought –in your wildest dreams- of a mobile fitted with what is called ‘S Translator’ well it comes with it, amongst others. S Translator’ provides instant translation, using text or voice translation on applications including email, text message and ChatON. This instant translation is possible both from speech to text and text to speech and ensures that you can rely on the correct information.

The 5-inch large screen has top class 441 pixels per inch equipped with many outstanding shooting modes including ‘Drama Shot’, which allows you to see all the action in one continuous time-lapse, and ‘Sound & Shot’, which uniquely stores sound and voice, incredible indeed.

Other international states also had their respective launches, and according to Craige Fleischer, Director of Mobile Communications at Samsung Electronics South Africa, Africa is their ideal destination as they prepare to capitalise on the market share.

According to Samsung, this gadget will also provide Pan African customers with a 24-month Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) warranty to cover screen and liquid damages at no extra charge.

S4 will be available in two colours Black Mist and White Frost, and would follow a variety of additional colour options later this year.

“All the innovative features of GALAXY S4 were developed based on the insights and needs we found from our consumers all around the world. Following the successful GALAXY S series, this phone is yet another great proof point of people-inspired innovation. At Samsung we’ll never stop pursuing innovation conceived by people so we can inspire them in return,” continued Fleisher.

With ‘Air Gesture’, you can change the music track, scroll up and down a web page, or accept a call with a wave of your hand, magical isn’t?

MC for the night Dr Michael Mol, also demonstrated how the new ‘S Health’ can be used to keep up with good health and wellbeing information. The combination of sensors built within the device systematically and automatically monitors your health, surroundings and so much more to help improve your quality of life.

Amongst other features it is packed with S Travel software, dual camera group play, share music, smart pause –which enables you to control the screen by where you look. When you are watching a video, the video pauses when you look away then it starts right up again when you are back.

Fitted with a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera function, you can enjoy music, photos and games with those around you without even requiring a Wi-Fi AP or cellular signal.

On the warranty side, George Ferreira, Vice Pres and COO of Samsung Electronics Africa, said it is yet another way Samsung is showing its commitment to customer service by introducing it as standard on the GALAXY S4 and will be extended to other Samsung devices in months to come.

It will be available in the market from this Saturday (April 27 Freedom Day) in SA and other African states.

Although the pricing issue was unconfirmed, it is believed could retail from R7999 or so.

A bird whispered in my ear that some have attested the S4 launch to the drubbing of two Spanish football giants: Barcelona beaten 4-0 by Bayern Munich and Real Madrid outclassed 4-1 by Borrusia Dortmund.

How un-thoughtful of them to conjure such cold comments? Ahem!
