Students go the Kappa route!

The new deal sees Wits partnering with Kappa for a one –year deal.

Kappa, one of the leading Italian apparel sportswear globally, is synonymous for kitting big soccer giants such as Juventus and locally Kaizer Chiefs and Bafana, respectively.

Matthew Booth, the tall and lanky defender who was brought in for a one-year deal (option for review) from Ajax Cape Town said he’s looking forward to the season and not worried about the age.

“I’m not concerned about the age because, if that was the case coach Gavin wouldn’t have signed me on the dotted lines,” he said confidently.

“Despite what happened at my previous club with relegation battle, I still managed to hold my head high, and for that would like to thank Ajax for giving me the chance to do what I do best.

As for the new season, we’re already to kick-butt.”

Students open their 2013/2014 league campaign against Platinum Stars this Sunday at Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
