Ten to go and still counting…Hail our Golden Boy Chad

So far, that dream is on track despite Banyana losing out of the Olympics in the early stages. Girls, you need to pick up your socks, because international competitions ain’t a walk in the park!

Ok, back to our Golden Boy Chad le Clos, the Durbanite once again pulled a stunner up against his idol and American legend Michael Phelps last night.

South African swimming sensation Chad scooped the country’s second gold medal of the London Olympic Games, edging American legend Phelps in the men’s 200 metres butterfly final.

Le Clos, 20, touched the wall in one minute, 52.96 seconds (1:52.96) to smash his own national record by well over a second.

Phelps, a 14-time Olympic gold medallist and the defending champion in this event, finished second in 1:53.01.

Le Clos’s medal added to the gold won by Cameron van der Burgh in the men’s 100m breaststroke final on Sunday.

With only ten to go, our Team SA should not lose focus and compete to their utmost best, they deserve it after strenuous work and training programmes.

Those cheques are waiting for you boys and girls, stru!

Unconfirmed reports are that the National Minister of Sport Fikile “Mbaks”Mbalula is planning a ‘razzmatazz’ for the swimming team. We say hold on Minister because more Gold medals are yet to come!

On the verge of collapsing in joyous tears and words to express the feeling of being a PROUD South African fading unreservedly, we say SALUTE to our TEAM SA!

Its no wonder the winning sensation’s family had sleepless night yesterday basking in the glory of their son with neighbours and well-wishers! Amen…
