We said it, and we were on point!

Beautifully perched at the Haartebeespoort Dam in Magalies-NW, since its launch the visitor to the venue has soared alarmingly and numbers keeps growing. 

This follows its achievement at the annual Provincial North West Parks & Tourism Awards held last week in Potchefstroom, NW. 

The Aerial Cableway was launched by the National Minister of Tourism Marthinus Van Schalkwyk better known within the political circles as “Kortbroek”, to conscientious locals and international to visit and know the kinds of products the province has on offer.

Nozuko Ngozi -Director for Domestic Tourism at the National Department of Tourism, said:” We’re proud of the North West Provincial Government and the North West Parks and Tourism Board’s leadership for having organized the awards which recognize small and emerging tourism entrepreneurs and individuals and for their choice of responsible tourism as the theme for 2012.”

She also congratulated all finalists because whether they win an award or not, they are already champions by virtue of being finalists.

Other award winners were, Boga Le Gaba in the guest house category, Kea’s Bed and Breakfast (B&B category), Ngwenya Hotel (hotel category), Kay2zegee Adventure Tours (tour Operator),  Thabo Rantlha (media personality), MagTours (tourist guiding), Kagiso Legobe (tourism ambassador), Wesvalier High School (tourism school), Stirling Manor Boutique Guest Lodge (best tourist product).
