Just Badela restaurant ready for the evening as it welcomes jazz stars Jeff Siegel featuring Feya Faku

The New York jazz guru, drummer and educator Siegel returns to SA and will share the stage with another celebrated jazz aficionada Feya Faku, in Soweto for the much anticipated soiree at the eatery Just Badela Food & Wine on June 21.

The crème de la creme line-up also features South African trumpeter Sydney Mavundla who started playing the trumpet at the age of 14 and brings a rich international experience to the concert, Andile Yenana, Nduduzo Makhathini & Mandla Mlangeni and the Swiss Band.

Owner and founder of Just Badela restaurant Dumile Badela says, we are inspired and want to convert this venue into some special when it’s comes to Food Wine and Jazz.

“We want an intimate Jazz session where the audience connects with the live performing musicians and our plan is to have at least 24 live performance musicians gigs per year and increase from there,” quipped the overly excited Badela.

Four years ago, bandleader Siegel first had the opportunity to visit South Africa and perform in the Grahamstown Jazz Festival and the National Youth Jazz Festival, and from then on, he has become a popular feature with South  Africans.

Patrons will be sure to experience the high-energy post-bop ensemble which features a line-up of compelling, virtuoso musicians with a wealth of experience among them.

The Jeff Siegel Quartet with Feya Faku jazz begins from 8pm until late.

Tickets range from R200pp or R2000 for a table of 10.

Only 220 people seating arrangement for entrance fee. Food and drinks is cash bar.
