This was confirmed by the Hawks in the Free State Province, in relation to
the controversial R255m asbestos eradication tender.
Hawks spokesperson in the FS Captain Lynda Steyn confirmed the warrant of
arrest has been signed but not yet issued or delivered to Magashule, the
African National Congress SG.
He will appear in Court on Friday 13 in Bloemfontein- (talk of Friday the 13
th).
“Yes, we can confirm the warrant has been issued. The J50 warrant was
signed by the DPP [director of public prosecutions] in the Free State,”
Steyn said.
Magashule says he’s lawyers are attending to the matter since it was not brought to his attention.
According to Dakota Legoete ANC spokersperson who is campaigning with
Magashule in Soweto, said he was not aware of the issuing of the warrant of
arrest to Ace and will only comment after.
The asbestos case has seen seven people, including controversial business
figure Edwin Sodi and other officials including the Mayor of Mangaung arrested.
They will appear again in Court this Wednesday, confirmed Capt Steyn.
