Land Rover confirms partnership with British & Irish tour to SA

The agreement sees the continuation of a 24-year relationship with the Lions and the seventh-successive Tour that Land Rover has supported.

Laura Wood – Head of Global PR Brand & Partnerships, Jaguar Land Rover Global, saidLand Rover is extremely proud of its heritage within rugby around the world and the Lions Tour sits at the heart of that.

The Tour to South Africa will be very different for the teams and fans, so we want to use our partnership and activation to ensure Land Rover brings the rugby community closer to rugby’s greatest adventure. For the previous Tour to New Zealand, over 9 million fans watched Land Rover’s content series, and we hope to build on that through unique content and digital activity that captures the spirit of adventure for fans around the world.”

Land Rover has been a proud partner of SA Rugby since 2017 and to have the brand as the Official Vehicle of the Castle Lager Lions Series is a continuation of a great partnership. Land Rover vehicles have become a regular feature in Springbok activities in that time and I’d like to thank the Land Rover team for its ongoing support in difficult times for all business,” says Jurie Roux, CEO of SA Rugby.

Land Rover has a broad portfolio of rugby partnerships around the world that spans all levels of the game from grassroots to the world stage.

The brand also works with a number of current and former Lions players as brand ambassadors.

Land Rover has also been an official partner of SA Rugby since 2017, and works with several of the current Springbok players including Duane Vermeulen, Lukhanyo Am, Pieter-Steph du Toit, Bongi Mbonambi, Trevor Nyakane, Frans Steyn, Sbu Nkosi and Jesse Kriel as brand ambassadors.
