Young cool image. vibrant personality. fresh, refined, eye-candy styling, that’s the all new Sandero now on dealer showroom floors nationwide.
Since its launch early in 2011, the first generation Sandero Stepway has successfully blazed a red-hot trail significantly popularising the crossover concept in South Africa.
Fabien Payzan, vice-president of marketing and communications at Renault SA says:”The most obvious differentiation is the typical Renault design treatment, inside and out, which focuses on style, refinement and perceived quality,” he says.
“But the new model also impresses from an engineering perspective with the adoption of the cutting-edge 66kW turbo petrol engine which it shares with Clio, an impressive array of smart technologies as well as best-in-class safety features, all offered as standard.”
Over the last 12 months Renault South Africa has grown dramatically, following the introduction of three very successful new models – Clio, Duster and New Sandero
“This is particularly evident at the Reef, where the turbo almost offsets the negative effect on the performance generated by the altitude,” explains Wayne van der Merwe, senior product manager at Renault SA.
With the fitment of this cutting-edge Turbo 66kW, new Sandero Stepway outperforms the previous generation model, which was fitted with a 1.6 naturally aspired engine, that offered lower power (64kW) and lower torque level (128Nm), also reached at higher revs (3 000 rpm).
“It performs far better and is significantly lighter on fuel with an almost 2 litre/100km saving,” he adds.
What’s more, with Renault SA stocking more than 17 000 spare parts in its Rosslyn, Pretoria-based warehouse, parts availability presents no problem.
“We’re geared to deliver more than 95% of all parts ordered in less than 24 hours to any of our dealerships countrywide,” says Payzan.
“Customers can rest assured that Complete Peace of Mind kicks in as soon as an all-new Sandero Stepway deal is done!”
