iTHE CITY OF Joburg partners with Soweto Tourism in inaugural Soweto Investment Conference 2022 to run from May 12 to 14 at Nasrec Expo Center, Soweto.
Its theme ‘Exploring Investment Opportunities in Soweto’ will be a high-level destination development project initiated by Soweto Tourism and the Business Development Association, together with strategic partners.
The aim of the investment conference is to attract local and international investors and partners, who are interested in helping turn Soweto into an attractive destination for the local and international tourist market.
With the objectives of identifying and attracting investment opportunities, SMME development and job creation, as well as destination development and marketing, the two[1]day programme includes four focus areas:
– Infrastructure Development and Investment;
– Electricity Energy Investment – Alternative Energy Supply to the Community of Soweto;
– ICT Investment (smart township model) and;
– Retail Investment
The conference ends on Saturday, 14 May, with a Golf Day at the Soweto Golf Club.
MMC for Economic Development Cllr Nkuli Mbundu will give his keynote address on Thursday, 12 May from 12h00 at the Nasrec Expo Center.
