Its gonna be a ‘pretty ugly’ exhibition as Cass takes on Priddy

BIG Zulu you are next.

That’s a warning from hip hop star Cassper Nyovest as he prepares for the much talked about Celeb City boxing bonanza, scheduled for next week Saturday, at Pretoria’s Sun Arena.

Cass will face up with buoyant musician fellow Priddy Ugly in a five-round bout match.

Addressing large contingent of press at Moloko on Thursday, Nyovest promised he’s ready to face rapper Big Zulu, after demolishing Priddy.

“I can’t afford to lose this time despite what happened in the previous fight in Sun City. The judges were not impartial to me, but I promise to whack Priddy come next Saturday. Big Zulu should start preparing for me,” he said.

I’m in a good shape, although there were some minor destructions but I, and my trainers in the UK are ready for this, having put in the hours and work rate to lose weight,” said Cass in sunglasses and a sportie- typical loxion boy. “If I lose, I quit boxing” he said with tongue in cheek.

“Hahaha. I love that fact that I’m fighting someone who talks back. My last fight was boring. This is gonna be fun. We will see if that 6 pack is solid or it’s just for pictures. I’m gonna bang that body hard I promise you, No homo. See you next week Saturday at Sun Arena papito!” wrote Cassper Nyovest dissing Priddy.

He also admitted he has learnt a lot from previous fight by overcoming issues of weight, discipline, working on stamina and building lungs and conditioning his hands.

Rumours were doing rounds that the boxing exhibition might canned as sponsors were pulling out and TV rights were not secured but at the press brief, it was confirmed Sportbet.io was on board.

Unperturbed by the hype from his opponent, Priddy said he’s mentally and psychologically ready for this bout, having being hard at work with the famous and former world boxing champion Brian Mitchell’s training camp.

“I’ve been a fighter for the rest of my life, so this dissing and all cheap talk does nothing to my soul. I pray everyday of my life, so Cass is in for a major surprise, if he thinks he will just waltz past me, no boss, it won’t be,” said Priddy, in the company of wife and model Modiselle.

The former Moroka Swallows FC academy player went further to point out that by nature he’s an athlete and has been keeping fit for as long as he has lived.

“As indicated I’ve been fighting all of my life- even when I’ do good, the public has and will always judge me for negativity. So, for me this fight is to once again prove a point that I can make it. Yes, it’s a PR exercise but in the ring it will be totally different,” says Priddy, who also admitted he’s no friend to Cass except working in the same industry.

The East Rand based Priddy said upon finishing-off Cass (much to the applause from packed press room), will spend more time with his family, since he’s been hard at work for this exhibition.

Cass also pointed out importantly that the purpose of the City Celeb exhibition is to resuscitate the love of boxing in SA, and would like to thank Boxing SA and its promoter Joyce Kungwane.

Similar to the first iteration of Celeb City, there would also be a weekend full of festivities which include a pre-party next Friday at Moloko Pretoria and then more partying on Sunday at Moloko and Konka Soweto.

Meanwhile, catch Cassper in training at Menlyn Pta on Saturday 24 from in the morning.
