Air for an al fresco party of note at the DStv Delicious fest

ARE you ready to raise your festival game?

The Channel O Dance Stage at the DStv Delicious International Food & Music Festival Powered by LottoStar will pulse with the sounds ofDJs Heavy K, Kent, Kabza De Small, PH and Shimza,plus other top-tier local music acts,at the Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit on 21 and 22 September 2024.

Art and fashion will collide in a dazzling fusion of colours, sounds, sights and sensations at this year’s festival, now in its 11th unforgettable year.

The two-day event features leading South African and global artists such as Janet Jackson, Jill Scott, Thandiswa Mazwai and Sjava, on the Main Stage.

DStv Channel 320, Channel O – Youth Over Everything will host an array of local mixmasters and mixmistresses, who will take to the ever-popular Channel O Dance Stage to get the crowd moving and grooving in celebration of three decades of creative freedom.

As always, the Channel O Dance Stage is set to be a festival highlight. This year, the stage is curated by DJ PH and Shimza through their respective events properties, (PH)ola Party and U’R. With such seasoned party maestros in charge, you can rest assured that this stage will feature the freshest amapiano, gqom, hip-hop, Afro-tech, house and pop sounds of the moment – bringing the club out into the open air for an al fresco party of note!

On Saturday, the party starts at 1pm with Drihanna, followed by Shilly Mingz in the mix before DJs PH and Venom take to the stage. Then, the infectious amapiano beats will ramp up courtesy of Kabza De Small (featuring Nkosazana Daughter and Mthunzi).

Prepare to bliss out to your favourite jams when DJ Kyoticenters the house, accompanied by rappersSizwe Alakine(aka Reason)andFocalisticto take things to the next level. As night falls on the festival, Heavy K and Nokwaziwill light up the evening with a power set. After that, DJs Dlala Thukzin and Mac Breezy will wrap up Saturday’s festivities with their epic beats.

Sunday will continue the party vibe, with Shamiso and Stoffela serving up summertime bangers before DBN Gogo takes to the decks with an Afro set to ignite the senses. Then it’s time for deep house grooves courtesy of Darque, before the legendary DJ Kent shows us just why he’s regarded as one of South Africa’s house music pioneers.

As the sun sets, multi-talented DJ, producer and entrepreneur Shimza will take to the Channel O Dance Stage, reminding Mzansi audiences just why he’s become such a huge global sensation. The festival draws to a close in the sublime company of Sun-El Musician and Mörda (aka Murdah Bongz), marking the perfect way to wind down another immensely entertaining festival.

The collaborative Art Meets Fashionretail platform in association with W&R SETA will honour 30 years of creative liberation through the theme “The Art of …” – so prepare to be wowed by fine art, fashion design, bespoke furniture, performance art and storytelling. Visitors will enjoy an immersive all-round creative experience, complete with sculpture garden, art exhibition, fashion showcases, a design competition, open-air cinema and more!

We’re excited to present Art Meets Fashion: Delicious Edition, a retail platform in association with W&R SETA, where the five disciplines of fine art, fashion design, furniture design, storytelling and performance art will come together to form a bridge connecting generations in celebration of 30 years of unparalleled creative expression in South Africa.

General admission tickets for non-DStv Rewards members are R1 050.

Delicious Lounge tickets goes for R3 250 per person, or tickets for the all-inclusive Injabulo Lounge on The Terrace at R8 350 per person.
