MTN8 finals. Its a battle of coaches’ tactics!

Would this kind of mood be on Chiefs side come Saturday?

Ajax Cape Town tactician Roger de Sa says they expect a tough Cup final as they face defending champs AmaKhosi, on Saturday at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, PE.

Whereas Kaizer Chief’s Steve Komphela on the other side believes the youngsters are goin’ to be a hard nut to crack.

Indeed, this is going to be a spectacle not to miss.

For Ajax, this is their second Cup final in a very short space and they would like to make history by outclassing the experienced MTN8 defender’s AmaKhosi.

“It’s been tough journey to the final. We had to play Orlando Pirates away from home and win, and then we had tough games against Wits home and away, we rode our luck at times – but, in football, you need a bit of luck to be successful,” admitted De Sa.

“Chiefs have a fantastic pedigree, they certainly don’t lose too many finals”.

Defensively, Komphela’s boys have been questionable and this could augur well for the Urban Warriors, that’s if, they convert their chances. Yes, the former Bafana defender’s formula to win ugly is paying dividends but for how long?

Captain Travis Graham, although admitted he respects Chiefs midfield star Reneilwe “Yeye” Letsholonyane because he grew up looking up to him, on Saturday it will be a total different ball game.
“Actually, I’m going to knock him a bit,” he said jokingly.

The 22 year old believes they would exploit the leaky defence of Chiefs, with the help of lanky striker Nathan Paulse and the return of Prince Nxumalo, would add arsenal to the attacking department.

But well know, when coming to Cup games Chiefs does not blink.
They might be running-ragged for now but on a game day, the team does show signs of determination.

Although the controversial injury of Tsepo Masilela (depending on his availability) will affect the defensive component of the team, Komphela has players to inflict unbearable pain to Ajax.

The on-song George Lebese, goal-minder Itu Khune (though suspect) and skipper S’phiwe Tshabalala having raised their hands, the youngsters are in for torrid times.

This is going to be a game of superlatives searching for tactical coaches’ ability.

With the tickets sold out, the game kicks-off at 3pm.
