“We as the Amahlubi Traditional Council which is led by Nkosi LN Zibi welcome the decision by the Honourable Premier Thandi Modise as per the feedback session on the 23 July 2013 at Cooks Lake resort in Mafikeng, to reject the application as per the finds of the Commission on Traditional Leadership Disputes and Claims of the Welverdiendt Community Authority to be an autonomous body representing the community of Welverdiendt,” says Nkosi MS Zibi, Provincial Chairperson of House of Traditional Leaders in North West.
It continued that:”We are pleased to have our dignity as the community restored after 20 years of hardship and battles being fought for justice and the truth.
Therefore the leadership of Amahlubi community will continue to engage government and its respective Departments on Traditional governance which is engaging and progressive.”
