The boys from Louis Trichardt, Limpopo Province trounced the North West BM Mokitime Primary on penalties 3-2 at the national finals held in Boksburg over the weekend.
Benny’s coach, Mbishi Mokwena, said that the tournament is about ‘believing in your dreams’ and his dream since January was to win it.
“We followed the tournament religiously on Facebook. We knew who had gone through to the finals, investigated the type of football they played and the quality of players and we prepared accordingly,” he said.
The Academy (the first from Limpopo to qualify for finals) will represent SA at the global finals in France from October 14 to 16.
Last year’s SA winners Bree Primary were knocked out in early stages.
Limpopo Province has been in the football limelight following teams getting promotion to national leagues structures.
Bon Voyage Boys!
