THE 2023 Basadi Music awards are ready to roll out the red carpet for mzansi female stars, as we continue to celebrate Womens’ Month in SA.
They’re scheduled for August 12 at the Joburg Theatre.
The awards will see the introduction of newly created categories; Basadi in Music In Africa, Reggae Artist of the Year and Nando’s Emerging Artist of the Year.
Berita, (Zimbabwe), Maleh (Lesotho), Mpho Sebina (Botswana) and S3fa (Ghana) were announced as the recipients of the Mosadi in Music in Africa Award, which is given out before the main ceremony, while Nhlanhla Mafu, Thando Thabethe and Boity will receive in August the CEO Mosadi in Business Achievement Award for their leadership, innovation and resilience in their respective ventures.
