Braamfischer Eagles clinch the KwaMahlobo Games title!

BRAAMFISCHER Eagles are the 20th edition of the KwaMahlobo Festive Games winners, after beating the ably strong side Meadowlands All Stars in the final at the KwaMahlobo grounds in Meadowlands, Soweto last weekend.

Party time. Braamfischer Eagles outwitted All Stars to clinch their first 2016 KwaMahlobo LaLiga Games title.

The LaLiga sanctioned tourney, saw the Eagles soaring high in the sky by winning 2-0 to pocket R100 000 cash, gold medals and new kit.

“Firstly, we’d like to congratulate Braamfischer Eagles on winning the tournament, they truly deserve the honours and we also commend each of the 39 teams for showcasing a brilliant display of football from day one,” said Antonio Barradas, Africa Director at LaLiga.

“When we entered into this partnership, little did we know the extent of the passion and enthusiasm from the players and fans alike, not to mention the entertaining and highly skillful showcase of football the Soweto community was treated to over the three weeks of the KwaMahlobo tournament.

This was a memorable football experience for us and a great association formed with KwaMahlobo Games.”

1997 winners All Stars took home R20, 000 as runners up.

The KwaMahlobo Games are popularly known for having produced top PSL stars.
