Though controversial because of the stance taken by the department of basic education not publish the names of those who passed, those who made it have been advised to apply for contract work opportunities at Stats SA, as part of the Census 2022 recruitment drive.
According to Stats SA, they have extended the deadline for applications to January 31 2022.
This is to give the 2021 matriculants, who will receive their results in January 2022, a chance to apply for job opportunities on contract basis. Its open to every eligible student throughout the country for FREE. No fee is paid.
Extending the Census Recruitment Drive will not affect census data collection and fieldwork will commence on Census Night, 2 February 2022, as scheduled.
The appointment of field staff will be finalised by mid-January 2022, says Stats SA.
Application for contract employment is only online on www.statssa.gov.za/hr.
Call centre agents are available to assist prospective candidates with the online applications and they can be reached on 0800 110 248.
Applicants should not submit personal documents (ID, certificates, etc.) to anyone.
