Chateau Del Rei fuel sparkles into Gigi Lamayne

The charismatic rapper, singer, songwriter and poet has risen through the musical ranks to become a formidable force on the local hip hop scene having produced tracks with, and performed alongside the likes of Kuli Chana, Cassper Nyovest and Kwesta.

“It is Gigi’s love and enjoyment of the brand that intrigued us. From the very first encounter, I knew she needed to be part of the Chateau Del Rei family. Her energy and passion for life are what instant celebrations are all about,” says Brand Manager Limise Mxatule.

Thrilled to be aligned with this vivacious brand, Gigi embraces and embodies the fabulous flair of Chateau Del Rei’s sparkling wine in a can. As a performer always on the move, the convenience of bubblies on the go allows for instant celebrations anywhere, anytime.

“I most enjoy the bubbles and special, defined taste of every Can of Chateau Del Rei. It’s so convenient, you can take it anywhere or pack it away to enjoy later. It’s my go to celebratory bubbly for prestige award ceremonies such as the Grammys or Soul Train Awards,” says Gigi.

At 25, this multi-talented musician is already recognised as a leading musical figure making way for, and encouraging the growth and development of women on the South African hip hop scene.

In 2019, she made headlines as the first female artist to successfully execute and host a one-woman hip hop show in Africa. Close to 5 000 fans gathered at Elkah Stadium in Soweto for The Gigi Gang Show. (Set to take place again in 2020 however due to the Covid-19 pandemic fallout Gigi was forced to put her plans on hold.)

The world is her oyster and what better way to celebrate than with a can of sparkling Chateau Del Rei Dry, her personal favourite.

Loyal Gigi fans can get into the vibe by heading on over to her social media pages to stand a chance to win a day on set with her and toast to her newest venture with an ample supply of bubbly courtesy of  Chateau Del Rei.

Best served chilled, Chateau Del Rei’s quartet of easy drinking, low in alcohol bubblies can be enjoyed in Semi-Sweet, Dry, Semi-Sweet Rosé and Sweet Red and are available in 250ml cans at around R79 to R89 for a 6-pack or around R15 to R20 per 250ml Can.
