Vuma 103FM has announced the retirement of legendary radio host Linda Sibiya, the host of Kwasa Breakfast Show, only a year after joining the station, as part of purging.
Sibiya simply known as “Mr Magic” joined the station in 2015 after leaving Ukhozi FM under a cloud.
He has a thick history of 18 years’ in the radio industry.
According VUMA 103 FM, he will now focus his energy to businesses such as Energy Sector and a Marketing & Communications Consultancy.
Tony Mallam, MD of Vuma 103FM is totally supportive of Linda’s decision.
“Linda is a 20 year veteran of the South African radio industry, and I understand his thinking. Breakfast shows put tremendous pressure on a presenter’s daily schedule, and given Linda’s many business interests, it’s time to take a break from daily radio and focus on business”.
As part of the stations new lineup, Linda will be replaced by another controversial S’busiso Leope aka DJ Sbu.
It is reported that he will broadcast from Rosebank, TML head office- the owners of the station.
The station also bids farewell to veteran presenter Lucky Sefatsa and young Jacinta Ngobese.
