Danone U/12 national winners to be determined during finals

Not this time around. The Limpopo side Benny’s Development who were 2016 national winners, did not make it to the finals this year.

And the winner will yet again represent mzansi at the World Cup finals in United States, September this year.

The tourney is the biggest soccer development programme for kids under 10s and 12s globally. It also gives players the opportunity to showcase their skills to soccer scouts with the talented players being recruited into development structures of that team.

For leisure, in partnership with SASFA, Department of Tourism and Kruger Park, they will reward two players with a trip to one of the Department of Tourism’s National Parks.

The prize includes a fully-paid trip for 2 parents and 4 kids.

This is the second year that the Department of Tourism has partnered with the SA Schools Football Association (SASFA) for this under 12s tournament.

2016 national winners Benny’s Sports Development who went on to represent the country in France last year -from Limpopo Province- did not qualify this year.

Qualified provincial schools:

Sekusile Primary School- Mpumalanga 

Mophela Primary School- KwaZulu-Natal

Isaac Booi Senior Primary School- Eastern Cape 

Phaphama Public School- Free State 

Idas Valley Primary School- Western Cape 

Haggai Independent School- Limpopo 

Mmamitlwa Primary School- North West 

Arcon Park Primary School- Gauteng 

Bankara-Bodulong Intermediate School- Northern Cape. 

The games begin from 9am. Entrance FREE. MAHALA. GRATIS.

Fans stand a chance to win prizes such as Mille footwear and Danone products including Nutriday, Yogisip, Ultra Mel, DanUp and Nkomasi.
