Jazz Maestro. Bra Sipho “Hostix” Mabuse will share the stage with young but influential brands at this years’ 6th Drumbeat music fest edition in Soweto, 27 August.

This years’ line-up is a medley of young and old- and believe me when I say- its gonna be epic.

It features the legendary himself and Soweto born Bra Sipho “Hot-Stix” Mabuse, Karabo, Gospel master Solly Mahlangu, the sensational Nathi, internationally acclaimed Mi Casa, chart-buster Kwesta, Mobi Dixon and Nasty_C.

Two stages will be erected to lighten up the summer fever invasion from live jazz, hip hop, house and pop. Please don’t ask about Maskandi/Isicqathamiya just because the venue is next to a hostel, please.

According to the organizers, over 5000 fans will be drawn from Soweto, Jozi and other neighbouring areas. Of course, when you mentioned the word Soweto, every Dick, Tom and Harry, including international tourists would like a piece of it.

So, expect more than what is bargained for, in terms of numbers as the tills will be katching throughout the night…

Kasie tourism at its best!

It happens at Soweto Theatre, (Jabulani) on August 27.

Tickets: R150 presale via Computicket (online and at stores)
