Gavin Watson’ death is like a puzzle, a mystery that will take long to resolve

Such that accident reconstruction expert Konrad Lotter has been appointed to investigate the crash that took place next to OR Tambo International on Monday.

The controversial Watson’s death has sparked controversy over its authenticity, with many commentators questioning why he had chosen to be travelling in a Toyota Corolla on the day. On social media sceptics also questioned why his death came a day before he was scheduled to appear before the Sars inquiry?

At the scene there was no passport or VISA found which many speculate he might have tried to flee the country.

Also the autopsy was confirmed by the family, though it remains to be seen whether the body of Watson is actually his and why did he opt to use a Corolla when he owned a luxurious BMW. So the mystery continues…

When asked about his thoughts on the accident Angelo Agrizzi, Bosasa whistle-blower said:  “Very cynical hey. I don’t want to comment on it now. My own perception and I have spoken to one of the police officers …  we have our own ideas about what was done. You know, I can’t comment. My condolences go out to the Watson family.”

With all that said, this is a story worth following up- but mysterious though!

Meanwhile, the ANC has sent its condolences to the family- saying “he was the ANC man”.

He was one of the four popular Watson brothers who played a huge role in the fight against apartheid. The Watson family rose to fame in the Eastern Cape during the apartheid –era.
