Goodyear SA honours Mandela Day by refurbishing a local school in Gqeberha

IN CELEBRATION of Mandela Month, the Goodyear South Africa team rolled up their sleeves and got down to work at the Stephen Nkomo Primary School in Kariega, kwaNobuhle Township, Gqeberha.

Led by Richard Fourie, Managing Director of Goodyear South Africa, a total of 68 Goodyear associates refurbished a classroom and launched a legacy vegetable garden at the school.

To further support the learners and their learning environment, Goodyear South Africa donated four water tanks to the school. Each learner was given a goodie bag as part of the celebration.

This activity forms part of the Goodyear Global Week of Volunteering, where Goodyear associates around the world strive to make a positive impact in the communities where the company operates in.
