But this time, the leading automotive company decided to take a unique turn by honouring women of substance in mzansi by celebrating their strength and accomplishments at the Hyundai Creta launch, held at the historical Constitutional Hill-Braamfontein.
“As we celebrate and honour our heroines here tonight, let us not forget their sacrifices nor abandon their courage in our achievement.
This is an important platform that not only lights the way for a new generation of women but it also brings us together to share experiences, exchange ideas and insight and ultimately empower each other,” lyrically enthused Lebo Mashile, one of SA’s leading poet’s who was also honoured.
The stylish SUV also honoured the fascinating stories of women who, each in their own ways, tackle inequity and advocate change throughout the turbulent twentieth century, such as Botswana born and businesswoman Rapelang Rabana and seasoned broadcaster Penny Lebyane.
Sanelisiwe Mupaya, Hyundai South Africa Senior Brand Manager commented that: “It really was an exciting sight to see women coming out in their numbers to celebrate their contribution to society with Hyundai Creta.
As a brand, we felt the need to connect with the audience here, Hyundai South Africa draws so much from this building.”
The intimate launch for a change (did not feature motoring reporters) allowed guests to feast on cocktail party with specially crafted, crowd pleasing bites and top range drinks.
Since the evening belonged to special ladies in our lifetime Masechaba Ndlovu was the MC and the super diva Thandiswa Mazwai and her all women group, gave a resounding performance before DJ Zinhle wrapped up the evening.
