Joubert crowned with ‘Mowana’ coronet as reigning new Miss SA

SA has the new Miss South Africa.

Natasha Joubert was crowned the 2023 Miss SA, at the grand finale held at SunArena, Pretoria on Sunday evening.

Former SA 2022 Ndavi Nokeri, was on hand to hand-over the coronet known as ‘Mowana’ (meaning the tree of life) to the gorgeous Joubert.

Bryoni Govender, from Gauteng was the runner up. Nade Mabala was the second runner up.

Guests included former Miss SA and businesswoman Basetsana Kumalo, Jo-Ann Strauss, Reigning Miss Universe- R’Bonney Nola Gabriel, internationally acclaimed Thuso Mbedu (Judge) amongst others.

Media personality Bonang Matheba hosted the pageant and her brand BNG sponsored drinks.

The (26) Joubert will be handed R1 million in cash as a prize and sponsorship package that includes the use of a serviced apartment at the lavish Brookfield at Royal in Kensington – developed by Tricolt – for the year of her reign and other goodies.

Miss SA will be chauffeured in a Mercedes-Benz GLC, and visit Paris (France) sponsored by L’Oreal.

It was also confirmed a jewellery company Mizane provided diamonds (gems) that were used on the crown for the Miss SA.
