The house was attached by the court to help cover Malema’s tax bill.
According to the auction house, the house is focused on the entertainer’s market “and is at an excellent address.”
The Sunday Times reports that Malema bought the house for R3.6-million and had the exisiting house on the property demolished. He then started construction on a new house. The house has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a swimming pool, a cinema room, a coffee bar, a jacuzzi, a cigar lounge, a wine cellar and a lift.
The house is reportedly “almost completely done” with plumbing, ceilings, floors and glasswork needed to be installed.
Julius Malema owes the SA Revenue Service R16-million and last month missed an application deadline to challeneg the taxman’s bid the sequester his estate to cover his tax shortfall.
