KZN mom a beneficiary of a home, thanks to Ithuba and DPSA

MORE beneficiaries of the Ithuba nationwide housing project identified.

It began in 2019, whose aim is to bring independence, and dignity to deserving families with houses they can proudly call home. In 2023 Ithuba decided to cater for the Disabled individuals.

This week Nombula Hlongwane from rural Nqutu, KwaZulu-Natal, was another recipient.

The (55) lost her four of five kids and husband, thus faced destitute living conditions and NO HOPE!

But that changed when Ithuba in collaboration with DPSA (Disabled People South Africa) presented her with the keys to her house in Nqutu, designed to cater to her specific needs.

Other beneficiaries includes Dineo Sithole, a single mom in Johannesburg North, 84-year-old Letia Dijane from Koppies- Free State and the Ngxilwana family in the Eastern Cape, who lived in a shack since 2018.

Says Ithuba CEO- Charmaine Mabuza, as we enter this year, Ithuba encourages all South Africans to help in any way possible.

“I urge fellow South Africans to identify causes close to their hearts and get involved with local initiatives or established organisations.

Reflecting on the success of the ongoing housing project focused on transforming differently-abled individuals, Ithuba is not stopping here.

Through an ethos of Ubuntu, will continue giving back to additional beneficiaries, with a mission to create a lasting impact in communities,” lamented Mabuza.

This week additional beneficiaries’ in the NW and Limpopo, respectively will be visited; and next week follows Mpumalanga, the CEO’s province.

Ithuba, the proud operator of the National Lottery, embarked on the inaugural leg of a nationwide journey in 2023.
