Legal action instituted against rogue promoter

WELL-LIKED musician and Diepkloof- Soweto born, Langa Mavuso, is taking legal action against Nightingales Experience and its CEO Lwando Njeza, for failing to honour the agreement that saw Langa perform at the Guild Theatre show, in East London, recently.

Although no details or amount were mentioned, according to Mavuso and his management, the organiser of the show did not pay the artist what is due to him, yet Nightingales Experience as the organiser, was paid in full from both Guild Theatre and Computicket.

Mavuso and his management, failed on several times to engage and communicate with Njeza and his company to settle the amount but kept hitting the brick wall.

As a result, “this situation has left Langa Mavuso with no choice but to seek legal recourse to resolve this matter”.

“We are deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and integrity demonstrated by Mr. Njeza,” said Langa Mavuso’s management team. “We have made numerous attempts to resolve this issue without resorting to legal action, but Mr. Njeza’s continued silence and refusal to address the matter have left us with no other option.”

“Langa Mavuso deeply values his craft and the support of his fans, and this action is taken with the utmost seriousness and responsibility towards them. It is our hope that this matter will be resolved swiftly and fairly through the appropriate legal channels” read the media statement from the PR on behalf of Mavuso.

Attempts to solicit a response from Nightingales Experience and its CEO Lwando Njeza, failed at the time of publishing. Both email and text were sent.
