Fikile Mbalula, National Minister of Sport, last year launched what is called an Integrated School Sport Delivery Framework.
Subsequent to that, the Minister also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Basic Education to guide the delivery of School’s Sport in all school’s.
As a follow-up School’s Sport Program and calender was unveiled this week by the Department.
School Level- Mass Participation will commence from February 15 to March 2012

Local Festival from March to April.
District Festival from May.
Provincial Level in June.
National Festival will take place in December.
According to the Department, this has been rolled-out in partnership with SAFA who are custodians of football in the country and, Basic Education.
