THE FIFTEENTH National Sport awards are back.
They will be held at the Inkosi Albert Luthulu Int’l Convention Center, Durban on March 12.
For the past two-years the awards were not hosted due to the pandemic.
This year’s theme is Celebrating sports excellence, focusing on 2021: the year of Mama Charlotte Maxeke.
The awards carry a total of 16 categories including the Sport Star of the Year award and the People’s Choice Athlete of the Year award.
All categories recognise performances from the individuals, teams and administrators of the South African sporting fraternity for the period under review (1 September 2019 – 31 August 2021).
It also celebrates the magical work achieved by SA Olympians in 2019 and the Paralympic participants.
