According to the station, more plans are underway during its birthday month.
The Breakfast team, Planet Haaibo hosted by Just-Ice will invest R50,000.00 to upgrade a listeners’ home, The Afternoon Drive Show, Drive Time Experience, hosted by Ernest Pillay will invest in funding tertiary institution students by giving away R40,000.00 to four tertiary students and will also give away four kiddies tablets, each valued at R3,000.00 to four children who will become spelling champions in the month of January 2015.
Other programmes will give away tickets to listeners to witness the return of the smash hit musical, ‘Mmama Mia’ featuring hits by ABBA and on January 30, they will be at Soweto Hotel with a celebrity Bake Out.
This initiative will see Radio 2000 presenters and SABC TV celebrities bake a 2m by 1.5m cake and donate gifts worth R30, 000.00 to children living with disabilities.
Through its Little Einsteins competition a child would every week-day for the month of January, walk away with a R500 voucher for story books and stationery.
