With a staggering R1 million on offer for the Sport Player of the Year and German-made BMW, this promises to be the best ever awards in the history of sports in the country.
Celebrities, sporting figures, politicians, internationally acclaimed tennis stars Williams sisters, and hangers-on will be descending at the Sandton Convention Center, to celebrate and share excitements with their fellow stars.
Following a brouhaha which broke as a result of huge amounts meant to pay for international artists, ours such as songstress Lira, will bring the Convention to an abrupt stadstill.
Red carpet begins from 4pm onwards. Awards ceremony start from 8pm and will be live on both SABC1 & SuperSport!
Meanwhile, today the Andrew Mlangeni Invitational 2012, teed-off at the lush and swanky Serengeti Golf Course, next to the OR Tambo Aiport, Kempton Park.
Sports stars, the Minister Fikile Mbalula, and other guests will be among the participants.
The Invitational is part of the legacy programmes for the SA Sport Awards.
