YES, THERE was ‘drama’ at the launch of Drama Bar in Braamfontien.
Young and scantily dressed came in hordes to be part of ‘Next Experience’ courtesy of Russian Bear Vodka.
And multiple award winning Blaq Diamonds-who are the official ambassadors of this vodka, provided guests with their hits, as the night progressed to wee hours of the following morning.
The gathering of heads was to unveil 5th Russian Bear in partnership with the sprawling Drama Bar in Braam- the epic center for academic in Jozi.
The producers of bangers ‘Ilanga’ and ‘iBhanoyi’ also confirmed exclusively to this reporter that they will be unleashing a special summer bottle edition for Russian Bear, as part of the partnership, without revealing much.
“We’re excited and look forward working with Russian Bear brand. For us it means we’re doing the best we could at all times and now its pay back time.
It shows the gratitude and the belief by the brand,” says the duo.
As an independent label Blaq Diamond also confirmed as part of the deal, they will be embarking on both Africa and Europe tours, respectively to collab with other artists.
Pressed to share more details- they both succinctly quipped “we’re not as yet at liberty to tell”.
Russian Bear is synonymous for supporting emerging artists having worked with the late Rick Ricky, Kwesta, Nasty C and a Canadian musician.
Pierre van der Westhuizen, Russian Bear Brand Manager, excitedly agreed the partnership with Blaq Diamond is one of a kind.
“They’re young, hip and happening and as a brand, that’s our mandate to support such talent that we as South Africans should be proud of,” he says.
A supporter of our rugby team Boks, Pierre believes this partnership will draw that much needed ROIs, especially from international front, as they collaborate with their peers.
On the special edition bottle, he quipped “we’re honoured for having worked with the duo on this project; and now in summer everyone will certainly love and enjoy it”, he nodded.
Drama Bar will keep experiencing the Next Level- so go on and be dramatic!
