Oh, Rustenburg where the platinum is mined, and crafted to better the GDP of the
province, and improve lives of ordinary citizens will play host to the mouthwatering
line-up as part of the North West Platinum Jazz Festival.
This past week, workshops were held and large attendance of wanna-be musicians
and budding film makes heeded the call.
As a precursor comedy show will be held tonight boasting heavyweights such
as Kagiso Lediga, Chris Mapane, Loyiso Gola, and Trevor Gumbi, and few up
coming locals.
It takes place at Rustenburg Civic Center from 8pm.
Friday morning –still reminiscing on the previous night cajoling- sees the golf
teeing-off at the Rustenburg Golf Club to be followed by gala dinner for invited
guests only.
Olympia Stadium plays hosts to the eagerly awaited Platinum Jazz on Saturday
10th, featuring Zahara, neo-soul international Vick Lavender, Malaika,
Jonas Gwangwa,(once Oscar nominee), Bhudaza and many more. It begins
from 12h00 till late.

From bikinis and swimming shorts to torso and tattoos will be the order of the
day at the Beach Festival to be graced by house-music exponents such as
Big Nuz, L Vovo, Khuli Chana, DJ Tira, DJ Oskido, and many more.
It takes place at City Jive Bar and Restaurant from 12h00 till late, as well.
