Sebolai‚ 38‚ is on trial for the murder of his girlfriend Flavia Rachel “Dolly” Tshabalala‚ 32. Sebolai allegedly stabbed her in her genitals‚ killing her‚ after the couple had a fight at his Soweto flat on June 29 last year.
The DJ also faces charges of theft and defeating the ends of justice for allegedly stealing Tshabalala’s car and disposing of some of her bloodied clothes.
He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Tshablalala’s mother‚ Elizabeth Marawa‚ testified on Monday that Sebolai and Tshabalala had argued at her Soweto home less than a month before her daughter was killed.
She told the court that Sebolai had spilt milk on Tshabalala‚ and that she had heard her daughter say: “If you want to kill me‚ you can kill me.”
But defence advocate Thabang Mathopo said on Tuesday that on Sebolai’s version of events the milk landed up on Tshabalala when she forcefully grabbed Sebolai.
Cross-examining Marawa‚ Mathopo asked if she had seen Sebolai spill milk on her daughter.
Marawa said the milk was already on her daughter when she found the couple on her doorstep arguing‚ but Tshabalala had told her that Sebolai spilt the milk on her.
The trial continues.
