Six radio stations to battle it out in the inaugural DJs Cook-Off. (Event has been postponed indefinitely)

According to the organisers the reasoning behind is for “strategic reasons” because they believe this “decision will only multiply our chances for a successful event”.

PHUSHA PHANDA Events will host its inaugural DJ’s Cook Out show at the Maropeng- Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site this weekend-Krugersdorp, Gauteng

The purpose of the event is to promote World Heritage site and museums as lifestyle and entertainment hubs using 6 radio stations as a media of promotion, and create unique job opportunities for youths as part of commemorating Youth Month through dialogue using these radio stations.

It cooks-off from June 22 to 23 June, in partnership with Gauteng Tourism, whose mandate is to promote heritage sites and museums throughout the year with special programme of hosting lifestyle events at these iconic sites in the Gauteng Province.

The Radio Cook-Off battle comprises of YFM, Motsweding FM, Metro FM, Jozi FM, TouchHD and 947.

Pairs of two DJ’s from all six radio stations will receive a mystery bag with ingredients and an outdoor cooking station to prepare meals for media and public guests to vote and crown the best Radio-Cook for 2018.

The event is open to the public, including kids (kiddies museum available) to enjoy good music, food and the tour of this World Heritage Site.

Entrance R100. Overnight backpacker available for R450 inclusive entry and breakfast.

The main battle cooks-off from 10am until 6pm on Saturday 23.
