A BREAK through is imminent as three of the four suspects are to appear at the KwaMhlanga Magistrate’s Court, Mpumalanga this morning.
The arrested three are alleged to have been behind the disappearance of a journalist Sibusiso Ndlovu and his partner Zodwa Mdhluli, since early this year.
It has come to our attention one of the suspect is reportedly known to Mdhluli’s family, while another is a minor.
The fourth suspect is expected to appear in court later this week.
Ndlovu, who ran his online radio station from the Mamelodi Mall, was last seen living his workplace with partner Zodwa.
The car they were driving a VW Citi Golf went missing and the house belonging to Ndlovu was ransacked.
According to Police, one of the suspects was allegedly the last person seen with the couple before their disappearance.
The other three suspects were found in possession of various vehicle parts believed to belong to the missing journalist’s car.
Mdhluli’s son, Treasure, says the family is hopeful that the suspects will assist police in locating the couple.
This morning, National Police Commissioner Fanie Masemola, Police deputy Polly Boshielo, and the Provincial Commissioner in Mpumalanga, will also attend the court hearing.
According to Police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe, more charges such as kidnapping, theft and possession of car parts will be added.
A reward of R100 000 was offered.
