Abu Dhabi calls for Ride of Your Life competition winners’

“At first it I thought it was a prank since it was April Fool call but after the seriousness from the person who identified as Gold Reef City representative, I composed myself as they broke the news that I was the ultimate winner of the competition,” says Christi who was accompanied by boyfriend at the handover brief ceremony at the Theme Park on Tuesday afternoon.

I’m ecstatic and can’t wait to get to Dubai with my boyfriend, she said.

The competition details were riders issued a Gold Reef City passport when they purchased their Thrill rider, kiddie rider and family rider tickets.  

Thrill-seekers had to complete a minimum of ten challenges on the passport to be eligible to enter the final draw which took place on 31 March 2019 in a competition that ran from 18 January 2019

Christi (20) who is studying Education, says this was her first ever competition to enter and win and look forward having a ball in Abu Dhabi, with the boyfriend’s two siblings.

The package also includes return flights to Abu Dhabi for four, transfers to and from the airport, seven nights’ accommodation at Southern Sun Abu Dhabi, access to Ferrari World, an Abu Dhabi sightseeing cruise, afternoon tea and so much more plus R12 000 spending money.

Second and third place winners walked away with, R10 000.00 & R5 000.00 in cash respectively.

Feron Somiah, Gold Reef City marketing manager said they were hard at work also preparing for the Easter season, having launched new games to excite and cater everyone.
