BMW SA has been added as vehicle sponsor for this years’ Nedbank Golf Challenge.
After months of speculations the deal was concluded this week hence the addition of the prestigious German made car brand on the sponsors advertising boards.
Lindsay Pieterse, BMW SA Group: Lifestyle Communications confirmed the deal and apologized for the delay as it was only finalized today (Wednesday), without giving indication how long is the deal for.
But one thing for certain is players, officials and guests will be chauffeured in top range brand.
BMW replaces a Swedish car manufacturer Volvo that has been backing the worlds’ top Golf for ages.
The Nedbank Golf Challenge, hosted by Gary Player, offers the second biggest purse on the Rolex Series at US$7.5 million and after the US$8 million DP World Tour Championship.
The confirmed lineup features Matt Fitzpatrick, Ian Poulter and Bernd Wiesberger, who join other stars such as South African Major winners Ernie Els and Louis Oosthuizen, alongside 2020 European Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington, 2018 Ryder Cup star Tommy Fleetwood and defending champion Lee Westwood.
Full-lineup will be confirmed at later stage.
It begins from November 14 to 17 at the Gary Player Golf Course- Sun City in Rustenburg, North West Province-SA.
