Save Our Rhinos – album release

448 rhino were killed in 2011 in South Africa. According to the EWT, at least 33 rhino have already been illegally poached this year, and the number unfortunately keeps increasing.

Despite the efforts of so many, if the poaching continues to escalate, the wild rhino could become extinct in less than a decade.

The double CD compilation features 40 of some of South Africa’s best loved artists and groups including Johnny Clegg, Prime Circle, Dave van Vuuren, Yoav, Elvis Blue, Locnville, Wonderboom, Chris Chameleon and many more.

10% of the profits will go towards the EWT in their fight to develop workable solutions to address the scourge of rhino poaching.

Already, the EWT are deploying sniffer dogs at airports, training a range of law enforcement personnel and developing support networks for orphaned rhinos.

The album launch will be held on Thursday, 16 February at 19h00 at The Victory Theatre in Houghton Estate, Johannesburg.

Only 100 tickets will be made available to the public and can be purchased through Computicket.

The night will see performances by Flash Republic, Dave van Vuuren, Graeme Watkins Project, Wonderboom and more.

Album now available at all music outlets. For more information, visit www.rhinocd.co.za
