Siba’s Bite- Biting more than one can chew?

This is what went down or up in the smoke: members of the press were paired in four or six to prepare all kinds of easy- to-cook cuisines, from braaied meat to deserts et al.

Fortunately, the kitchen did not burn, as pots and knives, at the top range eatery in Sandton, just opposite the huge Pic n Pay that is under construction, played itself out.

The media cooking session was to impress the ever-gorgeous, bubbly and SAs own Chef Siba Mntongana as she unveiled her new show Siba’s Bites.

The show will feature her own creation of easy-to-cook African inspired cuisines, although she confirmed it was shot outside SA.

During the preparation- my team in BLUE– cooked, baked and played with all sorts of ingredients, albeit it was not a competition as such; but having women ‘leaders’ in tow- anything that has to with cooking must be way too EXCELLENT! And yes it was not an easy feat.

And her supportive beau Mr Mntongana popped in late but on time for a roundtable discussion as we dissected every meal to the last plate!

Siba’s Bites is coupled with tips and kitchen how-to advice. Each episode’s menu is based around a theme and will feature four 4 recipes.

It premieres Sunday, 15 September at 19h00 on Food Network (DStv channel 175). #SibasBites

Oh shucks -but how do you prepare a delectable meal with top of the range ‘forbidden waters’ flowing as if tomorrow never comes?

Yes cooking cannot be taken lightly when such happens.

Siba, as a special ‘agent’ advise can one chew more than he/she can bite…?
