Its only days (if not hours) before the internationally renowned fest Standard Bank Joy of Jazz kicks-in from the affable Sandton Convention Center, for the second time in succession.
The three-day affair brings celebrated sought after music exponents and locals to wow and mesmerize fans from all walks of life.
The ‘curators’ as some would prefer to coin them, have not only selected a judicious mix of popular favourites alongside great classics, they’ve also sought to stretch audiences’ imaginations with some visionary musical concepts and collaborations, along with some enchanting local and international jazz heavyweights.
These include, Cecile Mclorin Salvant, Marcus Miller, Larry Carlton, Jimmy Dludlu, Hugh Masekela, Simphiwe Dana and many more.
Four stages Dinaledi, Diphala, Conga, and Mbira will resonate with aplomb as stars take center stage from September 24 to 26.
