MTN GameZBoost to change the digital gaming space in SA!

The challenge launched 2016 December is a mobile gaming experience that allows MTN customers to subscribe for R2 per day. A different game was initiated each week during the eight week competition.

Boereman. All smiles and fully bearded Heinrich van Niekerk is a 2016 winner in the MTN GameZBoost competition.

According to MTN chief digital officer Maxwell Nonge, one winner was selected each week for a R50 000 prize money; and the 8 weekly winners became eligible to be part of the finals held on Wednesday at the company’s head office.

This simply means Van Niekerk, who hails from Free State Province (Welkom) is R350 000 richer.

“To be honest my focus was on R50 000 but after winning the final, I don’t know what to do. Its’ surreal,” says the father of three girls and a husband.

“Although it hasn’t sunk in that I won, I intend buying a car and obviously spoil my family,” said the shy 34 year old with a smile and a beard typical of a boere-man.

“The GameZBoost Challenge has offered our customers an opportunity to test their skills against each other in an exciting mobile gaming experience. We are excited that the competition has reached the final eight, and we look forward to another round of exhilarating performance from the contestants.

This is one of the ways that MTN is making our customer’s lives a whole lot brighter, “continued Nonge.

Donovan Naidoo from Durban (Verulam) says he will pay for his studies.

The (34) who is studying Law at Unisa -on winning the second prize of R150 000 says:” I will pay for my studies and possibly buy myself a car. It can’t be fees must fall all the way,” he chuckled jokingly.

It can’t be feesmustfall always. Donovan Naidoo (left) will use his loot for studies.

Digital gaming continues to generate income and for us -says Nonge -means more investments going forward in this space.

Digital gaming is a revolution and as MTN they’re taking over this space.

The other 6 contestants from all over the country pocket a cool R50 000.

The competition is open to over 18s.
