And he had to showcase the skills that made him the overall winner at the House of Rémy Martin media event recently.

He was joined in the line up by another international Cellar Master, Baptiste Loiseau, for an exclusive cocktail making and tasting experience.

Although he arrived late (along with Marketing Director-Africa, Middle East & India) Xavier Tallot) making some of us to quench the thirst on latest cocktails, Baptiste indicated he was delighted the likes of Short are making inroads in the world of ‘mixology’ and experiencing that cognac can be used as a canapé or cocktail.

Expensive cognac that was on display to sip.

The sweet and Short who hails from the Free State Province, has collaborated with other top brands in producing premium cocktails in SA.

The tasting included the Rémy Martin XO tasting, guided through by Baptiste himself.

Short is also the Sin & Tax restaurant owner, were the event was held.

The Rémy Martin XO retails for R2000.
