According to the brief media release, Vampires in Soweto revolves around 2 family relatives (Mpiyakhe and Njabulo) who are power hungry and want to up their ranking in the vampire brotherhood. For them to achieve this, they need to sacrifice a pure blood to the “vampire gods” on the night of a new moon.
Mpiyakhe decides that they should kidnap the local priest’s daughter and keep her hostage until the night of the ceremony. Noluntu is brought into the care of Njabulo while under hostage.
Things fall apart when Njabulo starts doubting his aspiration towards the brotherhood and falls in love with Noluntu.
