This follows news that the awards will be held in Jozi in May on the 3&4, respectively.
According to the organisers, the awards were created to recognize and celebrate the talent of the greatest DJs in Africa!
The DJs are nominated in sixteen categories including a category for the females, says the press statement.
The winners will be decided by popular fan votes. Here are the nominees:

The DJ awards will have a delayed broadcast on DSTV’s Sound City TV in 44 African countries, including SA, Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya etc, during the month of May.

Lifestyle presenter Lerato Kganyago and Ugandan rapper Navio will host the event main event from Sandton Convention Center.
At the time of publishing, the organisers had not responded on whether all nominees will be attending.
